My Why
A little bit about me. Kenneth Campbell Filson is my real name and not a pen name, though the concept did appeal to me.
I am originally from a town called Ayr in the west of Scotland, however, I have moved about a lot throughout my childhood and adult life. I grew to like it. New neighbourhoods, new schools, new friends, people to meet and adventures to be had. through my later teens and into my adult years, I worked many different jobs, often quitting when the work would become drab and mundane, SSDD! so, new job, new people, new experiences. But, with the arrival of my children into my life, this draw to 'the new' to start again had to stop. children need stability.
This brings me to why I write! New people, new places, new experiences, new adventures! I still remember the excitement I got when I first started writing... the endless possibilities gave me such a rush that I could feel it in my chest, so much so that some nights I couldn't sleep!
So, this is my why, to continue to live in and experience 'the new' that I grew so accustomed to. Now albeit, in my head! will make its way onto paper and eventually, into your head!
