THE ISLE OF DIOBARRA

The Isle of Diobarra the first book that I wrote and published. It went through many incarnations before it was completed. Originally it was just one short story, but it gnawed at me! I would lie awake at night thinking about what could have happened before my story? What would transpire after I typed ‘The End’? There was more to this, and so I had the idea of writing a collection of short stories titled ‘Tales from the Isle of Diobarra.’  

As time went by and the tale grew in all directions, I binned the short story collection idea and began stitching what I had written together, filling in the gaps with smaller parts, eventually ending up with the current final format. 

It has been a labour of love that I couldn’t give up on (the characters wouldn’t let me!) though at times I wanted to. But I battled through my lacking confidence and am extremely pleased with the tale that I have created. I am also excited for the people that have read this book to eventually read the second book containing the final parts, that’s right, it's not over! I look to publish the concluding book in the Newyear 2024.
